Tinor mostly worked doing logistics rather than directly teaching people, though he does have the training and did enjoy it. As part of the EduCorps, he mostly ended up working with refugee groups.
Treis is the one in charge of logistics and planning in the group, and honestly does more of the planning than Isha and Arakitsz.
Treis can speak Basic, Kimana, and Bocce.
Savit’s outside trio contact. Treis is where Savit learns about role playing games, and they pretty much always have some campaign going. Mostly two person campaigns because this is their thing, but they’ve got a couple long runners that the others join in. Treis likes the control of being the GM, likes being able to fudge the numbers to make sure things come out right in the end in a way he can’t in real life. Savit likes the interactive nature. Nila tends to want all the control over the story she’s writing, and Arkaitsz likes more the telling and retelling on the same tales with slight variations (myth/fanfic style). Savit likes sharing in the media the consume together, but more he likes the interactiveness of rap games because they remind him that he’s there and not alone. Watching/reading/listening to stuff without constantly interrupting it to discuss can set off his episodes, even if he’s touching someone.
Treis is cautiously accepting but doesn’t seek this one out. They’re not very close.
Treis and Moros had good lines of communication, with Moros helping them find jobs for money regularly, and Treis keeping track of the planning, I’m thinking Moros’s closest friend after the polycule
Treis and Atorm, like Tinor and Treis, tend to do non interactive things together, but when Treis gets frustrated, Atorm drags him away and sets him up with a pistol shooting simulation. Treis isn’t very good, but that’s mostly fine since he’s not usually in the line of fire, and the physical activity/distraction usually does help. On Atorm’s visions, they’re helpful, but generally short term or urgent, so not good for long term planning around.
Empathize with each other as the only ones who seem to have had overall a normal life for the Jedi Service Corps they were put in, even after the war. They tend to go to each other for non-interactive interaction - lazing around or doing work silently in proximity, but talk enough to consider themselves close.
Not very close, but in close communication over planning. Where Treis does the long term planning and Isha the short term, Arkaitsz does a lot of the communication logistics. As I’ve written, Treis can and does on occasion look into what everyone else is doing. But in the normal course of operations, Arkaitsz is the one doing that, both on the computer and talking about needs/desires and keeping track of inventory. Unintentional at the time - but them being the one to reach out at the start of the fic was what they do. Arkaitsz doesn’t tend to participate in Treis and Savit’s role playing games because they’ve got some slight decision fatigue and would rather not participate in even the very removed simulated combat of the rpgs.
Tries is their long term strategist and Isha knows it. Isha’s mostly in charge because everyone assumed she would be, and while everyone knows that Treis makes the plans, they assume Isha is a lot more involved than she actually is. Treis does make the long term plans and thus does a lot of the long term planning that isn’t the crew deciding as a whole, which is Treis running through his plans with Isha and Arkaitsz, using them as a primary sounding board and letting them know what he’ll present to the crew. But Isha does a lot of the battle specific short term planning, which reinforces the view of her as the leader the others have. Because of this, he’s specifically seen how much Isha and Arkaitsz work as equals and not Isha in command, and a couple of times has been the tie breaker in an argument. That was stressful. It has only gotten mildly less so over time, but luckily they can usually resolve the issue without needing a tiebreaker.
Nila’s not very close with Treis, seeing him more as a friend in law through Savit. She will participate in Treis and Savit’s rpgs on occasion when offered the chance, but prefers the complete control over her own story to the rules-mediated improv first draft of a story. They’ve talked about maybe writing some of the campaigns with Savit into books, but it just Disney work out for Treis because he has work or other things he would rather do, and Nila’s narrative voice is distinct enough from Treis’s that she finds she doesn’t like the end product of her solo editing. However, Nila is one of Treis’s backup option when shooting, and they have things worked out perfectly there - neck touches to notify of presence, and the Treis doing cover fire as Nila takes the time to aim since she has better aim.
They’re not exactly comfortable with each other, but Terys is the one with the most experience fighting on this scale, due to his time trying to avoid being at home by joining his uncle’s mercenary group(everyone else was larger military, solo/pairs, or Torkal(‘s trauma reaction)), so Terys usually gets an early run through of plans before they’re presented to the group, and sometimes even before Arkaitsz and Isha.
Queer platonic relationship, don’t object to being called a couple but don’t define themselves that way, got married for tax benefits they say. They can all about everything and nothing all day long without getting bored, but have trouble talking about their emotions, them getting married was a miracle attributable more to the fact that it was for a mission under fake identities that no longer exist, but they’ll still say that they’re married.
