Terys comes from an ancient offshot of the Sith, the Itana sect, that survived to the present day due to their habbit of keeping to themselves. The Itana Sect split off from the main Sith philosophy due to their interpretation of the Sith Code, and they hold personhood and self-determination to be of utmost importance, as a well as a belief that the Force must be accessed through one's emotions. The Sect also somewhat specializes in mild psychometry.

Terys decided to become a mercenary like his uncle, and spent most of his life doing that. After the Clone War, Terys found Isha’s shop drifting due to some strong Force nudges while Isha was changing her from, and decided to join her crew after talking with her once she woke up. He only intended for it to be a short term thing, as with other crews he had joine din the past, but found that he quite liked the group once he met the others, and never got around to leaving.

Job

Terys's main job within the group is to be a fighter. He's big and he's tough. He's also got some information on ancient Sith culture.

Fighting Skills

Terys is not bipedal and doesn’t have the dexterity to really hold/use a lightsaber even when he is balancing on his hind legs. He has a variety of Force-based lightsaber forms, but when he has the correct armor, he likes to do a combination of those and blunt-force physical brawling. Because lightsabers, he can only really do the physical brawling against opponents with lightsabers when he's wearing armor to make sure he doesn’t just get chopped up, but when he does have his armour, he’s a force to be reckoned with because of his innate mass and physical strength (as a bear-shaped being) and because lightsaber wielding people aren’t used to his forms, or to being literally barreled over (because again, needs special armor or chop chop). He's not very good at fighting alongside others who fight up close because he's big.

Languages

Terys can speak Basic, Kimana, Itana dialect Sith, Amatakka, Hutese, Ryl, Bocce, Durese, Rodese, a little Mandalorian, Haat Mando'ade Sign, and Aka'liit Mandalorian Sign.

Crew Relationships

Savit Altan Aruna

Not very close, Terys thinks of Savit mostly in relation to Arkaitsz and thus regards him as some level of terrifying

Miron Ise

Share a room queer platonically, Terys is Miron’s metaphorical rock. The two have also come up with a wildly inadvisable plan/spell to hook into all of Miron’s Sith training and make Terys Miron’s master in case they ever get caught deep cover against another Sith and need to provably bluff their way out. Terys was one of the first to go “live and let live” because of his mercenary background meaning he’d had to work with people he didn’t like in the past, and at least Miron seems willing to work with them.

Moros Ise

Terys understands that Moros is Going Through It right now, but Terys will always come down on Miron’s side. Usually, he’s mostly ambivalent, he’ll get along with Moros and makes an active effort to not drive Moros away, so Miron Durant feel upset, but he especially dislikes when Moros participates in the Dark Side Debates because Moros self-acknowledgedly isn’t Dark and isn’t debating on Dark principles but Leroti ones, and while Leroti principles have their place, if this was an open debate, everyone on the ship would be participating. For a long time, Moros participating also meant that Miron couldn’t really.

Atorm Itnal

Terys is very good at preventing deaths, especially by tanking the hits himself. They’re also both in the Darkside group, and Atorm is interested in the Itana Sect because he’d actually seen multiple (if sparse) references to them in the records left behind in various Sith Temples across the Galaxy, and once he connected the actual living sect to the pile of reference scraps living rent free in a dusty corner of his head, maybe by actually talking about it in front of Terys?, he’s fascinated to see a modern perspective to compare with the ancient outside perspective and the occasional inside scrap.

Tinor Jason

As the tank, Terys has to get patched up quite a bit, even with his armor on. He sometimes looks a little like he’s got mange, when he’s been hit more times, and thus had more fur shaved off to get treated, but he’s a good sport about it, as he grew up with the expectation that this would happen due to his fighting style. Beyond that they’re close, having found comfort in someone else who left their own home and culture in order to bring in revenue. Additionally, while Terys is a Sith, the Sith Discussion Group and Miron really make him focus on the bad sides of that, and it’s comforting to just be around someone who isn’t reminding him of all that stuff. Tinor finds Terys’s solidity comforting - despite acting as a tank and getting hurt a lot, Terys has never been truly badly injured while Tinor was around.

Arkaitsz Kaya

Not super close, but Arkaitsz is half part of the Dark side club and can debate theologies as an insider. Terys wasn’t an expert in Itana Sect theology and rules prior to this actually, being more of a fighter, and he’s still more interested in fighting, but the Dark side theology comparisons both interest him and put him at ease in a way his own people and the lightsiders interest couldn’t. Arkaitsz and him find each other particularly interesting because of their mutual morals - with Terys’s systemically encoded while Arkaitsz’s are individual and at odds with (varyingly) both of the cultural systems they’re willing to talk about.

Treis Kelech

They’re not exactly comfortable with each other, but Terys is the one with the most experience fighting on this scale, due to his time trying to avoid being at home by joining his uncle’s mercenary group(everyone else was larger military, solo/pairs, or Torkal(‘s trauma reaction)), so Terys usually gets an early run through of plans before they’re presented to the group, and sometimes even before Arkaitsz and Isha.

Isha Kiri'e

Terys found Isha’s ship drifting due to some strong Force nudges while Isha was converting and joined after a chance to talk and also as a reason to stay away from his family. Terys finds Isha interesting, but ultimately sticks closer to Moros, and Torkal, and Arkaitsz when they have the time, and occasionally Atorm for archeology reasons. He’s not really interested in the same things as Isha, and while dependent on the group as a whole, he’s never entirely gotten over his discomfort with Lighter siders and Jedi after horror stories of what they do to darksiders. Isha is interested in his culture, but not in the things he’s interested in, and doesn’t want to push.

Nila Sini

Not very close, but Nila will sometimes sit in on the theology debates. Like Savit, Terys finds her, as connected to Arkaitsz, vaguely terrifying

Torkal Rheiss

Both part of the Dark Side group and debates, not very close
